The reporter recently learned from the General Administration of Customs that in the first three quarters, customs across the country investigated and dealt with a total of 14235 smuggling cases, and the special campaign to crack down on the smuggling of agricultural products "green wind" achieved phased results.
From January to September this year, customs across the country put on file and investigated 487 cases of smuggling of agricultural products, suspected of tax evasion of 7.1 billion yuan, an increase of 70.9% and 40.3% respectively over the same period last year. Zhang Guangzhi, spokesman for the General Administration of Customs, said that customs across the country will continue to step up efforts to crack down on the smuggling of rice and other agricultural products, and severely crack down on all kinds of illegal smuggling activities that endanger the country's economic, political, cultural, social and ecological security.
