Tian Hongru, vice president of the China Grain Industry Association, said in his speech that the production and sales prices of miscellaneous grains and corn market this year are fluctuating, especially due to the influence of the integration of the international market, which makes it more difficult for production and marketing enterprises to judge the direction of the market.

Affected by the high temperature and drought in the summer, the yield and quality of corn in Jilin, Henan and other producing areas have declined this year. The senior analyst of the China Grain Network said at the meeting that according to the research results of the comprehensive grain network and the inspection results of other main bodies, the country's total corn output in 2014 is expected to be about 424.6 billion jin, a decrease of about 12 billion jin or 2.75% over the previous year.

According to Feng Lichen, president of China Corn Network, under the country's current corn price protection policy, China's corn price, planting benefit ratio, planting income ratio and inventory have all reached the highest in the world. China's future corn policy will affect the nerves of the world.

As an important supplement to the three staple grains in China, miscellaneous grain is the supply guarantee of staple and non-staple food for the people, and occupies an important position in the national food security. According to statistics, the total output of miscellaneous grains in China reached 83.285 million tons in 2013, accounting for 13.8% of the country's total grain output.
