A teleconference was held in Beijing to implement the State Council's opinions on further doing a good job in serving migrant workers. Ma Kai, member of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Ma Kai pointed out that migrant workers have become the main body of China's industrial workers and an important force in promoting the country's modernization drive. To do a good job in serving migrant workers under the new situation, to train migrant workers to become new industrial workers with stable employment and to develop into new citizens who live in cities and towns and enjoy public services equally is an important task to promote people-centered urbanization. it is an urgent need to improve the quality of workers and change the mode of economic development, and it is an important measure to solve the problems of agriculture, rural areas and farmers as a whole and to build a well-off society in an all-round way. Great efforts must be made to hold on to it.

Ma Kai stressed that to do a good job in serving migrant workers, it is necessary to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress and the third and fourth Plenary sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, and thoroughly implement the opinions of the State Council on further serving migrant workers. Closely around the development direction of orderly promotion of migrant workers' citizenization, efforts should be made to stabilize and expand migrant workers' employment and entrepreneurship, and constantly consolidate the foundation of migrant workers' citizenization. Strive to safeguard the labor security rights and interests of migrant workers, strive to create conditions for the citizenization of migrant workers, strive to promote migrant workers to gradually achieve equal access to urban basic public services and settle in cities, and constantly improve the level of citizenization of migrant workers; we will strive to promote the social integration of migrant workers and constantly improve the citizenization quality of migrant workers. It is necessary to strengthen organizational leadership, improve the working mechanism, increase financial input, improve service capacity, make concerted efforts, work in a down-to-earth manner, and strive to create a new situation in the work of migrant workers.
