To protect "traditional villages", it is even more important to protect "spiritual homes".
The protection of Chinese traditional villages is attracting great attention from the state. The reporter recently learned from the Ministry of Finance that the central government will spend more than 10 billion yuan in three years to promote the protection of traditional villages.
The cultural diversity of our Chinese nation is in rural areas, the cultural roots are in rural areas, the intangible cultural heritage is mainly in rural areas, and the cultures of ethnic minorities are all in rural areas. No matter in terms of scale, connotation or value, the traditional village is long and broad, which is the root of Chinese culture and the "spiritual home" of the Chinese nation!
Most of the traditional villages are old, scattered in relatively remote, poor and backward areas, seriously dilapidated. For a long time, there has been a lack of understanding of the scarcity and non-regeneration of traditional villages in some places. except for a very small number of traditional villages listed as famous historical and cultural villages to be well protected, most traditional villages are still in a state of survival on their own and can not be effectively protected. the pattern and ecological environment of traditional villages are constantly destroyed, some folk cultures are on the verge of extinction, and many traditional skills and folk art successors are scarce. Is in danger of being lost.
Therefore, it is urgent to protect traditional villages. It is gratifying to note that China has launched the protection of traditional villages and established a national list of traditional villages, and the central finance has also allocated special subsidy funds for environmental improvement and infrastructure construction, as well as the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage of these villages. However, the reality is that worrying chaos has appeared in the process of traditional village protection.
With the adjustment of China's economic growth mode and the intensification of the wave of urbanization, the vast rural areas are undergoing the transformation and construction of urban-rural integration. Under this historical background, the protection of traditional villages is facing great problems. Some places are eager for quick success and instant benefits in pursuit of political achievements, eager to carry out the image project of "one side of a thousand villages", arbitrarily overthrow reconstruction or blindly demolish large-scale construction, or even carry out "village construction and urbanization" according to the urban model; some simply put forward the slogan of "reconstruction of old villages" without considering the protection and inheritance of the cultural heritage of traditional villages. Some vigorously engaged in village appearance renovation, blindly high starting point, high standards, and the uniform high-rise housing model dismembered and destroyed the original ecological environment and historical features of the local buildings in some traditional villages. even the building itself can not escape the fate of being demolished or relocated; some carry out "flower shelf" construction, painting the walls of ancient buildings in the course of renovation, and the real cultural relics are hard to be renovated into fake cultural relics. Some "crave for foreign money and build new small foreign buildings", push down and re-plan some villages that rely on mountains and water, and build neat rows of European-style villas, so that the traditional village pattern and local architecture suffer "destructive destruction".... All kinds of chaos lead to nowhere to settle the intangible cultural heritage in the traditional village, and the rich and diverse folk culture will also disappear with the disappearance of the traditional village, which is a huge loss to the protection of the intangible cultural heritage.
So, how should we protect the spiritual home of the Chinese nation while ensuring that the traditional villages are protected, so that the roots of national culture can be passed on from generation to generation? The author believes that, on the one hand, the real protection of traditional villages should be to repair the old as old, to constantly strengthen, to prevent collapse and continued destruction, not to create fake antiques, fake villages or fake history. On the other hand, the perfect protection of ancient villages should not only pay attention to the protection and restoration of the material level of ancient buildings, but also fully display and reasonably inherit the traditional culture closely related to ancient buildings.
First of all, we should issue a law and regulation specifically for the development and protection of ancient villages, improve the protection and management system, and strengthen the scientific management of the heritage of traditional villages; secondly, we should include the protection of traditional villages in the financial budget and strengthen policy support to raise funds for protection and management in various ways; thirdly, the effective protection and utilization of traditional villages should be combined with "rational renovation, appropriate development and tourism development". Finally, the protection and utilization of traditional villages must be people-oriented, respect the rights and interests of villagers, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of villagers, and let villagers actively participate in village protection and cultural heritage.
