The Ministry of Land and Resources demands to guarantee the right to know of the peasants who have been expropriated.

In view of the current problems such as the incomplete content of the disclosure of land expropriation information at the grass-roots level, the non-standard disclosure behavior, the imperfect disclosure procedures, and the inconvenient and untimely access to public information by the masses, the Ministry of Land and Resources recently issued a notice on issues related to further doing a good job in the disclosure of land expropriation information in cities and counties, requiring that we should earnestly increase the intensity of disclosure and effectively guarantee the right to know of the peasants who have been expropriated.

The notice defines the main responsibility for the disclosure of land expropriation information in cities and counties. The "notice" requires that in the work of land expropriation, the procedures of "informing, confirming, and hearing" before applying for approval of land expropriation and "two announcements and one registration" after approval should be strictly carried out to disclose land expropriation information in time, so as to facilitate the inquiry of the masses.

The notice increases the active disclosure of land expropriation information in cities and counties. In accordance with the requirement of "openness as the principle and non-disclosure as the exception", the active disclosure of land expropriation information has been further strengthened.
