The Transportation of Grain from the North to the South has entered the era of special train for bulk grain transportation.
On November 11, a train loaded with northeast corn from Qujiadian Station in Liaoning Province entered Jinxia Grain Logistics Center located in Xianing Port, Changsha, Hunan Province, which marked the comprehensive opening of the channel connecting the two major grain production and marketing areas in the north and south of our country. China's grain logistics has officially entered the era of special bulk grain transport.
In recent years, with the uneven development between regions and the increase of market demand in the south, the long-term pattern of "transporting grain from the south to the north" is being replaced by "transporting grain from the north to the south". For this reason, China is vigorously promoting the strategy of "transporting grain from the north to the south", and Jinxia grain logistics center has become the strategic node of the southern region. It is understood that at present, the annual circulation of grain across provinces in China is about 200 million tons, of which 57 million tons are in the northeast.
According to Yang Yongsheng, president of Hunan Grain Group, as a major province of pig farming, Hunan has a huge demand for corn and other feed materials every year. "the annual transport capacity of this' north-south grain transport 'line is 600000 tons, which will effectively solve the problem of uneven demand between the north and south grain production and marketing areas and alleviate the contradiction between production and marketing caused by seasonal factors and regional differences." Yang Yongsheng said.
Bulk grain is a concept corresponding to packaged grain, and the bulk grain special train is a kind of closed train which can only be used to transport grain, and its loading and unloading is controlled by mechanization. The reporter learned that in the past, it took 200 workers to unload the packaged grain on a train for two hours, and the bulk grain special train could be completed in a few minutes, and the loss and cost per ton of grain could be reduced by about 100 yuan.
