In the early years, as a gathering place for snack food processing, Junpu was once very prosperous. However, under the impact of the downward pressure of the global economy, the development of the extensive industrial model of small workshops has been hindered, and most of the villagers in Junpu village can only go out to work; even due to the chaotic management of the previous village committee, Junpu village has frequent contradictions.
In 2012, as a group of villagers returned to the village to start a business, through the combination of physical store wholesale and expanding online marketing, remarkable economic benefits were obtained, affecting the sharp nerves of the villagers of the whole village.
Seeing the business opportunities of low input and high return, the villagers followed suit one after another with a linkage response of "one spread ten, ten spread a hundred". The upsurge of e-commerce business atmosphere in the village has led many migrant villagers to return to their hometown and idle labor in the village to open online shops to start businesses and employment.
Villager Huang Chih-chih, who has worked and lived in Yunnan for a long time, returned to Junpu a few months ago and saw earth-shaking changes taking place in the village. He said that in the past, he went out to seek development because the village was poor, but now he sees that Junpu Village has become more beautiful. E-commerce economy has also developed rapidly.
