Integrated high-yield, high-density and lodging resistance is suitable for mechanical grain harvesting varieties, high-density planting, single grain precision sowing, staged fertilization and precision control of water and fertilizer, water and fertilizer and chemical control, integrated control of diseases, pests and weeds, timely late harvest, etc. the high-yield mechanized production technology system of maize dense planting was strengthened, the whole mechanized operation and unified management were strengthened, and the breakthrough of high yield in large area was realized.

Li Shaokun believes that the establishment of a typical high-yield model of large-scale corn will play an important exemplary role in improving the overall level of corn production in the northwest and China and ensuring food security.

It is understood that this work is supported by the national corn industry technology system, the scientific and technological innovation project of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the high-yield establishment of the Ministry of Agriculture. The corn dense planting and high yield mechanized production technology established by the innovation team was selected as the national corn promotion technology by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2013 and 2014 respectively, and set a high yield record in Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Heilongjiang and other provinces in 2014. it has guided and driven the improvement of local maize planting density, the promotion of density-tolerant and suitable mechanized varieties and the development of mechanical grain direct harvest technology.
