Hanging orchids can absorb harmful gases such as formaldehyde in the air, and many friends will keep a pot at home to purify the air and decorate their homes, and they are very easy to raise. Some flower friends said, why do their own hanging orchids always dry sharp yellow leaves, but do not grow up? this is why? in fact, raising a good hanging orchid also needs to find out its habits.

Daily maintenance of hanging orchid

1. Watering

The root system of Cymbidium is very thick, and some people call it radish root, which is more resistant to drought. It doesn't matter if it is not watered for more than ten days, but the leaves wilt and will slow down after watering. It is OK to keep the basin soil slightly wet during the growing period. Excessive watering is easy to rot the roots.

2. Lighting

Hanging orchids like the sun but can not be direct, it is best to put it in a place with sufficient astigmatism or semi-shade, the light is too strong, it is the easiest to dry yellow leaves, it is best to spray water on the leaves, the air humidity is high, it is not easy for yellow leaves to dry.

3. Fertilization

If you want the long leaves to be broad and oil-green, you should often apply some nitrogen fertilizer once or twice a month during the growing period. Many friends say that they have been raised for many years, but have never applied fertilizer, and they can only pour fermented Amoy rice water. In fact, fermented rice washing water is a good nitrogen fertilizer.

4. Draw rattan

Some friends raise Cymbidium with luxuriant branches and leaves but do not smoke vines. In fact, there are conditions for Cymbidium to draw vines. Our newly bought orchids or cutting orchids all have a process of root cultivation. Only when the roots are well cultivated and filled with flowerpots and feel there is no place to grow, can we draw vines. So if we want Cymbidium to draw vines, we can raise them in small flowerpots. If we want to raise the leaves, we should use large flowerpots to raise them. When the root system is full of flowerpots, you can still draw a lot of vines.

5. Change the basin

Cymbidium grows very fast and has a lot of roots, so we have to change the pot every one or two years, otherwise the flowerpot is full of white roots, if the flowerpot is really too big, we can also cut off the small orchid and cut it back into a pot. the re-cutting of the orchid grows faster than the old one, and it has more ornamental value.

If the watering, fertilization and light are right, the orchid grows very fast, the leaves are green and green, and it is easy to burst the pot in a month.
