Summer is coming soon, and there is nothing more difficult to raise a rose than this season. So, if we want the rose at home to blossom beautifully and safely through this summer, we should think about it: give the rose a handful of dregs and leaves, and the rose will blossom as usual.

1. A handful of bagasse

According to the growth habits of rose, bagasse, which is light, loose, permeable, good in water storage and fertilizer conservation, rich in humus and rich in organic nutrients, should be selected to cultivate rose in summer.

Growing rose with bagasse has many advantages:

First, bagasse comes from a wide range of sources and is easy to be collected in summer; second, rose planted with bagasse is obviously stronger than other cultivated soil, with developed root system, more new buds, long flowering period, thick leaves, dark green color and bright color, and low diseases and insect pests.

How to use it:

First shake the bagasse into pieces, compost and ferment it, then sterilize it in the sun, and then set it aside. When planting rose, put a layer of broken brick or cinder particles at the bottom of the basin about 4-5 cm high, then mix bagasse, garden soil and chicken manure at 1:2:1, and then plant in a pot according to the normal rose.

2. A handful of leaves: needles

High temperature in summer, rose pot soil is easy to dry, basin soil drying for a long time will often affect the growth of rose. If a thin layer of needles can be covered on the surface of the rose basin soil, it can not only prevent the basin soil from drying, keep the basin soil moist, but also reduce the soil temperature of rose.

When it rains heavily in summer or watering the rose with a spray can, because the water droplets are large, it is easy to splash up the basin soil. covering a layer of needles can also prevent the pot soil from being washed away and keep the rose plants clean. In addition, avoid basin soil hardening caused by long-term rain or watering. The needles rotted and turned into fertilizer.

In addition, the needles are small and breathable. After covering the needles, the rose basin soil can maintain an appropriate degree of dryness and wetness. When you need to water the rose, just open the needles on the basin to watch the basin soil water.
