Farmers' occupational disaster insurance was officially approved. Today (12) the press conference after the meeting of the Executive Yuan announced that farmers' occupational disaster insurance will be launched in November! The Council of Agriculture said that in the current trial phase, the amount of single agricultural insurance insured is calculated on the basis of 10200 yuan per month and 0.23% of the premium rate, and the monthly premium amount is 24 yuan, which is borne by farmers and the government respectively. Farmers pay 14.4 yuan per month, as long as they have the status of agricultural insurance. Farmers' occupational disaster insurance can be voluntarily added without limitation of age. Based on the current number of people insured by agricultural insurance, the Council of Agriculture estimates that about 1.17 million farmers are eligible for occupational disaster insurance.

Occupational disaster insurance covers injury, disability, death and medical benefits.

At present, farmers' health insurance only has three payment items: birth benefit, physical and mental disability payment and funeral allowance. After farmers' occupational disaster insurance is on the road in the future, there will be new items such as injury benefit, disability benefit, death benefit, medical benefit and so on.

According to the plan made by the Council of Agriculture for the trial calculation of the detailed payment program for farmers' occupational disaster insurance, farmers are insured for 10200 yuan a month. If farmers really have to start injury benefits as a result of occupational disasters, they will pay 7140 yuan a month in the first year and 5100 yuan a year in the second year. The maximum payment is two years. As for the disability benefit, the maximum payment is 60 months, the maximum payment is 612000 yuan, and the minimum payment is 1.5 months, the payment amount is 15300 yuan. If death benefit is to be used, the funeral allowance is 306000 yuan.

In addition, unlike the physical system of labor insurance, the medical benefit program adopts the "cash system" of agricultural insurance. Zhu Jianwei, director of the guidance Office of the Council of Agriculture, said that if farmers are outpatients or hospitalized as a result of occupational disasters, they will be able to apply for current medical benefits from the Labor Insurance Bureau.
