In my hometown, many neighbors have a thick skin, which is characterized by a thick leaf, which is very easy to raise. I have never heard of it, and I can't put it in a family that has been growing for decades.

Later, I learned that it also has a name "Yushu", which is a plant like jade, but if you see more light, it can really develop into uncut jade, which is equivalent to the treasure of the family.

The one above looks like Yushu, but it is actually a variety of it. Its leaves look like round straws. Other places are no different from Yushu. People call it a "money-sucking tree".

Yushu maintenance of the most important watering and sunshine, master these two points, basically can be raised very well.

The most critical point in the conservation of Yushu:

1. Pay attention to watering

Yushu particularly does not like to water too much, a little more watering is fatal to Yushu, especially in winter, the temperature drops below 10 degrees, there is no need to water throughout the winter. If there is too much water, the stem will rot.

Be sure to check whether the basin soil is dry before watering, and the soil surface is dry 3 to 5 centimeters below before it can be watered.

2. Plenty of light

The second key to raising a jade tree is sunshine, which needs plenty of light, except in summer, where leaves want to grow delicate and blossom, preferably on a south-facing windowsill.

When Yushu is sunny, its stems and leaves will become thicker, and the edges of the leaves will turn red, making the plants more beautiful.

If you get too much sun in summer, you will get sunburned and tanned. For example, the jade tree below is sunburned.

3. Soil selection

Yushu planting soil is best to choose loose, well-drained sandy soil, not necessarily how fertile, you can choose succulent general soil, add a small amount of coarse sand to mix.

4. Simple reproduction

Yushu reproduction is very simple, especially in summer and autumn, casually cut off the stem with two nodes, remove the lower leaves, dry the wound and cut in the fine sand, and soon take root and sprout.

Of course, if your Yushu rhizome is rotten, then you can also cut off the stem, remove the rotten part, dry the cut cuttings, and survive well.

It can reproduce even with a strong leaf, but the growth is so slow that it takes three months to grow into a seedling of 2 cm to 3 cm.

5. Pest control

In general, there are few diseases and insects in Yushu. If there is too much water or the environment is too dry, there will be red spiders or pink scale.

As soon as I found out, I immediately smeared it with 75% alcohol (or high spirits) and stained it with cotton swabs, and soon the worms disappeared and should be detected as soon as possible.

6. Pruning

Yushu first raise the trunk, remove the branches at the bottom, the branches at the top constantly pinching buds, to grow a good plant type, but also depends on pruning and pinching the top.

There is another point, that is, Yushu is not cold-resistant, there will be frostbite harm above 10 degrees in winter, and more than 5 degrees will be blessed by themselves.
