Last Updated: 2024/11/13, Many flower growers like cuttings, looking at a branch from rooting to budding and flowering, especially a sense of achievement, but also save a lot of the cost of buying flowers. However, if the method is improper, it is easy to fail. Today, we will introduce several cutting methods with high survival rate.

Sponge cutting, rooting rate soars!

Recently, many flower friends have been cutting, and many people have reflected that there has been a "fake life" after cutting. Although new leaves grow, they do not grow roots. If you use sponge cutting, it can greatly improve the rooting rate!

Method of operation:

1. Prepare the sponge, black is the best, because the shading of black is more conducive to rapid rooting. Cut the sponge into small squares 3 cm high and 2 cm wide and pierce the middle of the sponge with a tool.

2. Insert the branches to be cut into the sponge.

3. Pour about 2 centimeters of water into the bottle and put the sponge into the bottle without capping the bottle.

4, usually drink leftover milk tea cup can also be used, and the cup mouth is large, the operation is more convenient.

5. After putting the sponge into the cup, put it on the windowsill to receive light. Without changing the water, it can take root in about 20 days. Cut the plastic bottle and take out the branches.

6. when potting, you can transplant the sponge into the flowerpot together, and the survival rate is very high.

Paper towels urge the root, high-altitude crimping artifact!

Flowers such as triangular plum and camellia, which are not easy to take root, can be cut by high-altitude pressing, and the effect is better with the help of paper towels!

Procedure:

1. Prepare a tissue and an ordinary syringe.

2. Choose the position of the strip, peel the branch around 0.5cm with a knife and scrape it clean.

3. Mix the rooting agent with water and apply it to the position of ring peeling with a cotton swab.

4. Fold the toilet paper in half, wrap it in the position of ring peeling, wrap it with a layer of cling film, and tie the two ends with thread. Pierce a few small holes in the plastic wrap with a needle.

5. Pump water into the syringe and inject it into toilet paper.

6. In order to take root more quickly, you can wrap a layer of opaque paper on the outside of the plastic wrap.

7. In about 30 days, the root system will grow out through the paper towels, and then you can cut off the cuttings.

Fish tank bottom sand cutting, farewell to the black pole!

Some flowers are prone to rot and black pole when they are cut. Many of them are due to poor water permeability or bacteria. You can try cutting with the sand at the bottom of the fish tank!

Procedure:

1. Prepare some fish tank bottom sand. If you don't have it at home, you can also use pure vermiculite and wash it with clean water several times.

2. Disinfect the bottom sand (or vermiculite) with potassium permanganate or carbendazim.

3. Put the branches to be cut into the bottom sand and spray water on the medium every day to maintain humidity.

4, cutting with the sand at the bottom of the fish tank, the phenomenon of black pole will not appear basically, and the survival rate is higher than that of pure vermiculite!

Plastic bottle cuttings, it is difficult not to take root!

Many beginners say that they have never been alive, is there a way in which the survival rate is 100% and anyone can do it? Indeed, a bottle and a foam board will be enough!

Procedure:

1. Find a larger plastic bottle and cut the upper part of the bottle, but don't cut it completely.

2. Insert the branches that need to be cut into the foam board and pour 1/3 water into the bottle. Put the foam board in the bottle and let the foam float on the water. Finally, glue the bottle with duct tape.

3. After piercing 2 or 3 small holes in the bottle cap, put the bottle in a position with sufficient light, without changing water, it can take root in about half a month.

4. don't plant in a hurry after growing roots, untie the tape, put the bottle in the semi-shade, and put it in the pot after 1-2 days, the survival rate is higher.

The pot method on the paper cup, the cuttage survival is no longer difficult!

Sometimes although the branches have taken root, but after the pot does not adapt to the environment, there is a "rigid seedling" phenomenon, do not grow new buds, the stem blackened after a long time. You can try the paper cup pot method to avoid.

Procedure:

1. Find a disposable paper cup and pierce a hole in the bottom.

2. Stick the hole with duct tape and lengthen the tape head to make it easier to take it off later.

3. Pour water into the cup, the water level is about 1/3 of the cup body.

4. Sprinkle a layer of fine soil into the cup, then put the branches into the cup by hand. When the root system has just touched the fine soil, continue to scatter the soil, do not press with your hands in the process.

5. After planting, the tape can be taken off at this time, and the excess water will leak out from the small mouth. Put the paper cup in the shade. After about a week, the soil is dry and the seedlings are finished. No watering is needed in the process.

6. After the soil is dry, cut the paper cup and plant it in a new pot with the dirt directly. In this way, the survival rate of pots is basically 100%, which perfectly avoids the problem of "easy to take root, difficult to survive"!

So much for the little knowledge of cutting methods.

Do you feel that cutting has become easier after reading it?
