Last Updated: 2024/09/20, There are many reasons for this problem, and we need to adopt corresponding treatment methods according to the specific reasons. If it is caused by too much water, reduce the frequency of rehydration; if it is caused by lack of light, increase the light appropriately; if it is caused by a basin that is too small, give it a larger basin; if it is caused by lack of nutrients, then give him the right amount of fertilizer.

1. Caused by water

Taxus is very afraid of wet, if watering leaves too much water stains on the plant, or the basin soil is too wet, it is easy to make the roots lack oxygen. The breathing of the roots is severely restricted, eventually causing the roots to rot and the leaves to dry up.

Solution: when watering it, it is best to water it all at once, and then wait for the basin soil to dry. In addition, watering, can also be combined with some drugs to treat rotten roots, when placing drugs, the amount should not be much, the concentration should not be too high, according to a small number of times, you can make its roots grow normally, so that the leaves will no longer dry up.

2. Caused by light

Taxus is more shady, but in order to make it grow better, we should give it some sunshine. If there is not enough light, there will be a serious lack of nutrients, making the leaves begin to dry up.

Solution: it is shady and afraid of strong light, so you can put it on the balcony or yard in the morning and evening, but not every day, preferably a few days apart, so that the leaves will return to normal immediately.

3. Caused by large pots and seedlings.

When it was just planted in the basin, it was still a small plant, so when choosing the pot, it was also small, but with the extension of time, the plant grew slowly, and the nutrition needed by the root increased, resulting in insufficient nutrition in the pot soil and narrow space in the basin. Once the nutrition supply is not available, it will make the root die easily, so the leaves will begin to dry up.

Solution: when the weather is cooler in the morning or evening, replace the basin soil for it. When changing the basin, the small hole under the big basin should be properly padded a little higher, and the bottom layer had better be padded with a small stone pad, so as to facilitate water permeability. When choosing basin soil, use humus soil as far as possible, and then add some iron-containing agents to provide iron to the leaves for a long time to prevent them from drying up.

4. Caused by lack of nutrients

During maintenance, the basin soil is not loosened for a long time, and often watered, eventually causing the soil to harden and become impervious, nutrients are reduced, so the leaves begin to dry up.

Solution: some organic fertilizer can be added to the basin soil, combined with loose soil, and then watered. In addition, it is also necessary to fertilize its leaves, the best fertilization time is around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, so that the nutrition can be sufficient, and the leaves will dry up.
