Last Updated: 2024/11/05, When we raise this kind of flower, we may find one thing, that is, its leaves are red. Why does this happen? Generally speaking, there are two reasons why it changes from green to red, one is the low temperature, and the other is the strong light, so we can prescribe the right remedy to the case, raise the temperature and move it to a place with weaker light.

1. Low temperature

Low temperature is a very important reason, we know that if it is too low, it is likely to go dormant, when the glucose in its leaves is likely to turn red due to the stimulation of low temperature, if not in autumn and winter, we can consider transplanting it to a place with higher temperature.

But if it happens after summer and autumn, we don't have to worry too much, because by the next spring, its leaves will probably turn red again and turn green again. And some varieties, such as summer cuckoos, begin to turn red in autumn, but they are likely to become even more red in winter. In addition, some varieties may turn red after winter, and some may turn yellow and then fall off. These are relatively normal, so don't worry too much. Generally speaking, when it is abnormal, we just have to give it the environment it needs to make it normal.

2. Lighting

Strong light is also a very important reason for its leaves to turn red. Generally speaking, it does not need direct light. If we still give it a semi-overcast environment, its growth will be better. Of course, it may also be because the basin soil is too dry or too wet, at this time we still have to properly water and control the amount.

In short, under normal circumstances, we do not have to be too nervous, when it is in a dormant or semi-dormant state is normal, and other abnormal situations require us to quickly find a solution to get it back to normal.
