The whole soybean industry is still in overall loss in October.
There were 17 enterprises (groups) importing more than 1 million tons of soybeans in 2013 and 2014, with a total import volume of 54.86 million tons, accounting for 78% of the total imports.
Among them, Chenxi Group imported the largest amount of soybeans, accounting for 9.2 million tons, accounting for 13.1% of the total imports, followed by the 93 Group, with imports of 8.13 million tons, accounting for 11.5% of the total imports.
The third to fifth enterprises (groups) are Yihai Group, Cofco Group and Shandong Bohai Group, with imports of 545,496 and 4.47 million tons respectively, accounting for 7.7,7.1 and 6.3 per cent of the total imports respectively.
In October 2014, the whole soybean crushing industry was still in a state of loss, and the loss of imported soybean crushing was estimated to be close to 1.8 billion yuan, of which Cofco Group, 93 Group and Yihai Group all lost more than 200 million yuan. Shandong Bohai, Cargill and Shengquan oil losses are between 100-200 million yuan.
