It is understood that according to the deployment of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Machinery Industry, the China Agricultural Machinery Association has completed the first draft of the outline of the 13th five-year Plan for the development of the agricultural machinery industry. and initially put forward major construction projects and contents (key products, key technologies, key components) for the development of agricultural machinery industry.

According to reports, China has entered a critical period of speeding up the transformation of traditional agriculture and vigorously developing modern agriculture. Especially during the 12th five-year Plan period, China's agricultural mechanization has made great progress, and the process of the new era dominated by the mechanized mode of production is accelerating to the breadth and depth.

According to the two quantitative targets of the 12th five-year Plan to 2015: first, "the total power of agricultural machinery has reached 1 billion kilowatts", which was achieved ahead of schedule in 2012 and reached 1.06 billion kilowatts in 2013; second, "the level of comprehensive mechanization of farming and harvest has reached more than 60 percent." it is also expected to be achieved ahead of schedule this year and is expected to reach more than 61 per cent.

The outline points out that the preparation of the 13th five-year Plan must establish a new vision, achieve new development, strengthen the strategy and overall situation, and enhance the height, breadth and depth of the plan. In promoting the sustained and healthy development of China's agricultural machinery industry, we will give full play to the leading effect of domestic large-scale agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises.

An expert from the China Agricultural Machinery Association said, "after entering the 13th five-year Plan, China's agricultural machinery development has stood at a new and higher starting point, which requires us to do a good job in planning in the spirit of reform and innovation."

Experts predict that by 2015, the total output value of the national agricultural machinery industry is expected to exceed 400 billion yuan. The huge cake of China's agricultural machinery market has attracted the favor of international capital, and international agricultural machinery giants have settled in China one after another.

The capital of domestic construction machinery and automobile industry has also stepped into the field of agricultural machinery to accelerate the pace of mergers and acquisitions and investment in agricultural machinery enterprises.
