The pilot project of the national veterinary drug product traceability system has been successfully completed.

In order to strengthen the supervision of veterinary drug safety, ensure the quality and safety of animal products, and implement retroactive management of veterinary drug products, according to the arrangement of the Ministry of Agriculture, China Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute actively carried out the project construction of veterinary drug QR code marking system. Chengguo veterinary drug product traceability system (hereinafter referred to as traceability system) project team, carefully formulate the project implementation plan We steadily promoted the construction and pilot of the veterinary drug traceability system project, and successfully completed the pilot work of the national veterinary drug product traceability system in November 2014.

In accordance with the requirements of the pilot work launch meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture in February 2014, the China Institute of Veterinary Drug Supervision held training courses in Henan, Guangdong, Beijing and other places, with a total of more than 500 trainers and three technical exchange platforms. do a good job in the specific implementation and technical guarantee of the operation of the traceability system around the clock. The leading team went deep into more than 30 pilot enterprises (units) to investigate the pilot work and provide technical support to solve the practical problems encountered in the pilot work.

Since the start of the pilot work, a total of 108 enterprises (including groups) across the country have participated in the pilot application of traceability system production, 4 operating enterprises, supervision and law enforcement of 2 provinces and regions and veterinary administrative departments have participated in the testing of operation and supervision functions. 13 equipment manufacturers (including automation integrators) and 52 printing enterprises participated in the pilot work. During the pilot period, the data collection mode of veterinary drug production enterprises was mainly manual data collection, and 15 production enterprises completed the transformation of automatic data collection and production.

At present, the traceability system is running well and all the work is progressing smoothly. As of November 30, 2014, the pilot veterinary drug production enterprises applied for a total of 36928450 codes of 215 varieties, with a total data of 15878567 varieties in storage and 4430596 varieties out of storage.

Under the organization and leadership of the Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, the pilot units attached great importance to the pilot units and the active cooperation of the veterinary drug supervision and law enforcement departments. China Veterinary Drug Supervision Institute conscientiously did a good job in technical support work such as traceability system construction, publicity and training, and platform maintenance, and successfully completed the pilot work of the traceability system, laying a foundation for the full implementation of traceability management of veterinary drugs in our country.
