At the same time, with a view to tapping the potential of grain production, the Ministry of Agriculture has organized activities for the establishment of high grain production and tackling key problems and upgrading models for grain production this year, integrating and popularizing regional and standardized high-yield and high-efficiency technical models, creating demonstration areas for high yields and experimental areas for increasing production and efficiency, and turning the two wheels together to boost the harvest of summer grain, early rice and autumn grain.

Taking the establishment of high yield as the platform, various localities have integrated and popularized high-yield and high-quality varieties and supporting cultivation techniques, took the lead in demonstration and promotion in ten thousand mu, and transformed the yield of experts' experimental fields into farmers' field yield. there emerged a number of high-yield models with a scale of 10,000 mu and a series of concentrated plots. According to the yield estimates by experts, the average yield per mu of the 10436 demonstration mu of grain throughout the country is 610.4 kg, 70% higher than the national average. These high-yield models transform advanced and mature technologies into heavy yields, which farmers affectionately call schools without walls and classrooms without blackboards.

On the basis of the establishment of ten thousand mu of high yield, various localities should deepen the connotation of creation, expand the scale of creation, and promote balanced production. This year, we will continue to carry out pilot projects to promote the restructuring of grain and oil in 500 townships (towns), 50 counties (cities) and five cities (prefectures), building a batch of tens of thousands of mu, more than a hundred thousand mu, and hundreds of thousands of mu generously, and creating a batch of half-grain townships, grain counties and grain markets per ton. The whole city of Dezhou City, Shandong Province has promoted the establishment of high yield, implemented "three-level joint creation" in cities, counties and townships, and radiation has driven the cumulative yield of wheat and corn per mu in the city to 1138 kg in two seasons, exceeding tons of grain for six consecutive years.

While testing and improving, the mode tackles key problems and raises the level. While doing a good job in the establishment of high yield, the Ministry of Agriculture organized to tackle key problems of grain production increase, comprehensively considered the resource conditions such as crop layout, stubble arrangement, light, temperature and water in different regions, and selected 62 counties with good basic conditions and great potential for increasing production. We focused on popularizing 58 regional and standardized high-yield and high-efficiency technical models, and created a number of experimental areas for increasing production and increasing efficiency. Through the experimental pilot, a number of scientific and practical, replicable and popularized high-yield and high-efficiency technical models have been formed.
