Last Updated: 2024/11/23, There are many reasons for the blackening and shedding of gardenia buds, and we need to take corresponding treatment methods according to the etiology of our own plants. If it is too much water, then use chopsticks to insert a few holes in the flower soil to make the water evaporate or change the basin; if you use too much fertilizer, use a lot of water to rinse off the fertilizer or change the soil directly; if you change the pot to hurt the root, prune it and leave it in a cool place for about 10 days.

1, too much water

When she enters the budding stage, she cannot be given too much water. On the one hand, too much water will accumulate in the flower soil, which will not only affect the root to absorb water and nutrients from the flower soil, but also may cause its roots to rot, causing damage to it, thus making the buds black and fall off; secondly, once too much water is replenished, it is likely to turn into the growing period, branches and leaves will grow in large quantities, consuming too many nutrients, resulting in the buds black and falling off.

Solution: If it is not too much, then stop replenishing water first, and then insert a few holes in the flower soil with chopsticks to help the water quickly disperse; if it is too much, it needs to be taken out from the flower soil, then shake off the surrounding flower soil, then cut off the rotten roots, and then plant them into the new flower soil.

2. Too much fertilizer

Many flower friends think that it needs a lot of nutrients to bloom, so when its buds appear, they give it a lot of fertilizer. In fact, this practice is very wrong, because flowering mainly consumes nutrients in the plant, so we do not need extra fertilizer, on the contrary, at this time to add fertilizer to it is easy to burn its roots, resulting in bud blackening and falling off.

Solution: If the situation is relatively light, we can add a lot of water to the pot, wash away the residual flower fertilizer in the flower soil, and then put some stones on the bottom of the pot to volatilize the water; if the situation is more serious, we also need to replace it with new flower soil.

3. Change the basin and hurt the roots

Some flower friends know to give it pots, but perhaps because the method of changing pots is not very skilled or too many times, so that its roots are damaged in the process of changing pots, which will also affect the plant's absorption of water and nutrients, resulting in blackening and shedding buds.

Solution: This is relatively easy to solve. First of all, we need to cut off some branches and leaves to reduce the consumption of water, and then put it in a cool place for about 10 days, during which time do not let it bask in the sun, but can not completely disappear, it is best to give it scattered light. After the new leaves grow, they can be taken care of normally.
