White Feather Meat Duck Industry set up working Committee

Recently, the White feather Meat Duck working Committee of the China Animal Husbandry Association was officially established in Beijing. More than 150 people attended the meeting, including the Ministry of Agriculture, industry experts and scholars, and white feather meat duck breeding and processing enterprises. The meeting was presided over by Gong Guifen, secretary-general of China Animal Husbandry and Poultry Branch.

Cao Jiafu, general manager of Henan Huaying Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., pointed out at the conference that China's meat duck industry started in the early 1990s. After more than 20 years of development, the breeding scale has exceeded 3.5 billion, accounting for more than 70% of the global total. Both the stock and the duck meat output are firmly ranked first in the world. But in recent years, affected by H7N9 flu, shrinking consumer market and other factors, at the same time, due to market fluctuations, industrial development disorder, resulting in energy surplus, industry downturn. In this situation, there is an urgent need to establish an industrial organization to integrate and utilize all aspects of the strength and resources of the white-feathered duck industry, give full play to the joint force of the industry, and lead the Chinese white-feathered duck industry out of the haze and towards a healthy, stable and orderly development.

It is understood that the Baiyu Meat Duck working Committee is a non-profit social organization jointly initiated by more than 10 enterprises, including China Animal Husbandry and Poultry Industry Branch and Henan Huaying Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. The working committee will actively carry out strategic research on the development of the white-feathered meat duck industry, standardize the development of the industry, strengthen industry self-discipline, jointly ensure food safety, resist industry risks, strengthen communication and scientific publicity, open up domestic and foreign markets, and promote the consumption of white-feathered meat ducks. promote scientific and technological innovation to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the white-feathered meat duck industry.

The meeting elected Cao Jiafu, general manager of Henan Huaying Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., as the first chairman of the working committee, and hired Meng Qingli, chairman of Shandong and Kangyuan Group, as the first president. The guidelines of the White-feathered Meat Duck working Committee of China Animal Husbandry Association were examined and adopted.
