Seven models of National Modern Agricultural demonstration Zone outline the Development Roadmap

Recently, the Office of the leading Group on the Construction of Modern Agricultural demonstration Zone of the Ministry of Agriculture issued for the first time the "Exploration and practice of Agricultural Modernization with Chinese characteristics-National report on the Development of Modern Agricultural demonstration Zone". The experience in the construction of modern agricultural demonstration zones is summarized into seven models, which provides a road map for reference and replication for areas with the same region and similar development stages to develop modern agriculture.

The construction mode of modern agriculture in Heilongjiang reclamation area. With the improvement of labor productivity as the main goal, a highly mechanized labor-saving modern large-scale agricultural construction model characterized by large agricultural machinery, large water conservancy, large science and technology, and great cooperation has been gradually formed. it is suitable to be popularized in Jilin, Heilongjiang and the northern foot of Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, where the per capita cultivated land resources are relatively large.

Construction mode of water-saving ecological agriculture in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. With ecological friendliness and efficient utilization of water resources as the main goal, and supported by dry farming water-saving technology and circular agricultural technology, the construction model of labor-intensive water-saving ecological agriculture characterized by dry farming and green ecology has been gradually formed. adapt to northwest China and other arid and semi-arid areas with shortage of water resources and more agricultural labor resources.

The construction mode of characteristic agriculture in Meitan mountain area of Guizhou. With the improvement of land output efficiency as the main goal, the construction model of characteristic agriculture in labor-intensive mountainous areas, characterized by regionalization of layout, production base, product quality and industrial integration, has been gradually formed. it is suitable for the development of modern agriculture in southwest, South China and Central China, where the ecological environment is superior, the mountain resources are rich and the industrial foundation is weak.

The agricultural construction model of "two regions" in Cixi, Zhejiang. With the stable development of grain production and the improvement of land output efficiency as the main goal, great efforts have been made to build functional areas of grain production and modern agricultural parks, which are gradually characterized by high-efficiency ecological products. The land-intensive "two-zone" agricultural construction model of organic combination of stable grain income and income is suitable for the eastern coastal areas with large population and little land and a high level of industrialization and urbanization.

Cluster construction mode of agricultural industrialization in Yongcheng, Henan province. With the main goal of balanced improvement of labor productivity and land output rate, an agricultural industrialization cluster construction model characterized by large-scale planting, local processing and the connection of production and marketing, with equal emphasis on machinery-intensive and capital-intensive, has been gradually formed. it is suitable to be popularized and applied in the central region with little land and large population, good cultivated land conditions and basic industrial development.

The construction mode of urban agriculture in Wuqing district of Tianjin. With the goal of steadily developing products such as "vegetable basket" and developing various functions of agriculture, a land-intensive urban modern agricultural construction model characterized by serving the city, livable ecology, high quality and high efficiency, sightseeing and leisure has been gradually formed. it is one step ahead in the development of modern agriculture in the suburbs of large and medium-sized cities in China.

Construction model of balanced agriculture for grass and livestock in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, Inner Mongolia. With the goal of promoting the sustainable development of grassland animal husbandry, we should strengthen the protection of grasslands, vigorously develop modern animal husbandry, and gradually form a balanced agricultural construction model of land-intensive grass and livestock with the main characteristics of natural ecology. adapt to the northeast and northwest pastoral areas with rich grassland resources per capita.

A relevant person from the Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Agriculture said that since 2010, the Ministry of Agriculture has identified 153 modern agricultural demonstration zones nationwide in two batches, which has become an important platform and a strong starting point for promoting the development of local modern agriculture, initially showing exuberant vitality and strong driving force, and playing a positive role in leading the development of modern agriculture in the region and even the whole country.
