Ministry of Agriculture: earnestly implement and consolidate the good situation in agriculture and rural areas

On December 25, the Ministry of Agriculture held a cadre meeting to convey the spirit of learning from the Central Rural Work Conference. Yu Xinrong, Vice Minister of Agriculture, stressed that all units should earnestly study, deeply understand and resolutely implement the spirit of the central decision-making and deployment, the series of important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and the important speech spirit of Vice Premier Li Keqiang at the meeting, quickly unify their thoughts and actions into the requirements and deployment of the central government, earnestly implement them, fully complete the tasks proposed by the central government, and consolidate and develop the good situation of agricultural and rural economy.

The meeting pointed out that the just-concluded Central Rural Work Conference was an important meeting held during the critical period when China's economic development entered a new normal and agricultural and rural development entered a new stage, pointing out the direction and providing fundamental follow-up for agricultural and rural work next year and for a period to come. Agricultural departments at all levels should, in accordance with the deployment requirements of the Central Committee, unswervingly follow the road of new-type agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics, accelerate the transformation of agricultural development mode, deepen rural reform in an all-round way, promote the construction of new countryside, broaden channels for increasing farmers 'employment and income, and achieve stable grain income, structural adjustment, quality improvement and efficiency transformation.

The meeting stressed that we should really do solid work and implement it. At present, the central government's general policy has been determined, the task of agricultural and rural reform and development next year has been clearly defined, and orders have been issued. The key is to advocate practical work and pay close attention to its implementation. All units should take a more resolute attitude, invest more strength, take more effective measures to promote the implementation of the spirit of the meeting, and ensure that all arrangements take root. It is necessary to break through the fixed thinking, break through the inertia of work, establish a large pattern, broaden the thinking and broaden the vision, and strive to promote the innovation of thinking, policy creation and method creation of the "three rural areas" work from the overall perspective.

The meeting stressed that strict discipline should be enforced and the style of work should not be lax. All cadres and workers of the Ministry of Agriculture system should resolutely implement the deployment requirements of the Central Committee, strictly implement the provisions of diligent and honest administration, resolutely and consciously resist unhealthy trends, and consciously accept the supervision of Party organizations and the masses. We must persist in correcting the "four winds" and constantly correct the discipline, create excellent work performance with good mental state and good work style, and establish a good image of cadres in the agricultural system.

The meeting made specific arrangements for doing a good job in the current work. The meeting requested that, first, we should do a solid job in winter agricultural production and spring ploughing preparation, strengthen field management, and fight the first battle of summer grain production next year. Second, do a good job in the production and supply of "vegetable basket" products and the connection between production and marketing, do a good job in winter vegetable production in big cities, promote the transportation and marketing of fresh agricultural products such as meat, eggs, milk and aquatic products, and ensure sufficient supply and stable prices of agricultural products during New Year's Day and Spring Festival. Third, strengthen the supervision of agricultural product quality and safety, strengthen the prevention and control of major animal diseases in winter and spring, and ensure the consumption safety of agricultural products during the "two festivals". Fourth, carry out large-scale inspection of agricultural safety production, strictly prevent agricultural safety accidents such as grassland, agricultural machinery and fishery, and eliminate hidden dangers of epidemic diseases.
