In recent years, animal husbandry and veterinary departments at all levels have, in accordance with the principle of "giving priority to prevention, curing both symptoms and root causes, comprehensive control, joint prevention and control", effectively implemented comprehensive control measures to control the source of infection, and the epidemic situation of schistosomiasis in livestock has continued to decline. the positive rate dropped from 4.5% in 2004 to 0.37% in 2013, the epidemic situation dropped to the lowest level in history, and the source of infection of livestock was effectively controlled. The comprehensive management of agricultural schistosomiasis control has been promoted in an orderly manner, the working mechanism has been gradually improved, economic and ecological benefits have become increasingly prominent, and remarkable results have been achieved in agricultural schistosomiasis control.

The meeting pointed out that the current situation of agricultural schistosomiasis control throughout the country is still grim, and there are still some new situations and problems in schistosomiasis control work, and we should focus on several tasks in the near future.
