Promoting the transformation of animal husbandry with the help of "family farms"

In fact, in recent years, many capable people of animal husbandry have become veritable "family farmers" by contracting land and carrying out large-scale farming and characteristic farming, and have made good achievements. it has also explored the valuable experience for the development of the family farm model of animal husbandry and breeding.

"Family farm" is the main body of a new type of animal husbandry management. The development of "family farm" is not only conducive to solving the problem of large-scale animal husbandry, but also conducive to undertaking funds, technology and other essential resources of animal husbandry. It is more conducive to improving and stabilizing the industrialization chain and ensuring the quality and safety of animal husbandry products. It is an important carrier to promote the transformation and upgrading of animal husbandry and increase the income of farmers and herdsmen in an all-round way.

However, in the development of "family farms" of animal husbandry, there are also a series of problems, such as low education level of talents, serious shortage of own funds, difficult breeding loans, small insurance coverage of characteristic industries, and so on.

In this regard, in the development of family farms, on the one hand, we should tilt the new animal husbandry subsidies to family farms in accordance with the provisions of the No. 1 document of the Central Committee, and encourage family farms to carry out contracted management of breeding farms on an appropriate scale. efforts should be made to improve the level of intensive production and management of farmers and herdsmen. On the other hand, it is necessary to establish financially funded agriculture and animal husbandry guarantee companies and venture capital to provide guarantees for family farms and large farmers, and guide credit cooperation between large-scale family farms and large animal husbandry households with a good credit record. When livestock farmers fail to perform contracts and agreements and bring certain losses to large livestock farmers, the government can give appropriate compensation from venture capital to protect the enthusiasm of private enterprises to invest in animal husbandry industry. At the same time, in order to straighten out the development system of agriculture and animal husbandry insurance and support agriculture and animal husbandry insurance, the government should provide corresponding subsidies to insurance companies involved in animal husbandry insurance, so as to attract insurance companies to participate in animal husbandry insurance and gradually establish a catastrophe risk dispersion mechanism for agriculture and animal husbandry.
