Recently, China's first designated port for imported meat approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China-designated port for imported meat in Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Henan Province, was opened.

The total investment of the designated port project for imported meat in the experimental area is 150 million yuan, and the construction contents include passage bayonet, joint inspection building, inspection platform, etc. Construction started on December 21, 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2015. After the port is completed, the daily inspection of frozen meat can reach 1200 tons, which not only greatly reduces the logistics cost of imported meat in Henan Province, but also realizes the import meat logistics channel of "global-Zhengzhou-China" through the multimodal transport system of aviation, railway and highway by relying on the advantages of Zhengzhou Airport and Zhengzhou Railway Container Center Station.
