Mulberry pot plant has strong adaptability, defoliation in winter, like warmth, cold tolerance, the suitable temperature for growth is 25-30 °C, stop growing below 12 °C, start sprouting above 12 °C, and pot planting can be placed in the courtyard or balcony.

Potted fruit mulberry likes light, slightly resistant to shade, lack of light is easy to grow, which is not conducive to flower bud differentiation, family potted plants as much as possible to receive sunlight.

Pot mulberry is not strict with the soil, so it is better to use loose and fertile sandy loam. The pot soil can be made by mixing 6 parts of garden soil with 4 parts of rotten leaf soil and a small amount of rotten cake fertilizer.

Potted mulberry is drought-resistant, moisture-resistant, not waterlogging-resistant, the leaves are large and thin, and the need for water is exuberant. Keep the basin soil moist during growth, do not wait until dry before watering, but prevent the basin soil from stagnant water.

During the growing season of potted fruit mulberry, thin cake fertilizer solution was applied every 7-10 days, and 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution was sprayed every 5-7 days during flowering and fruit period.

After harvesting mulberry, potted mulberry should be pruned in summer, and the fruiting mother branch should be cut short with 2-3 buds to promote new branches. as the fruiting branch in the next year, the earlier the cut-off time, the more beneficial to the growth of new branches and the differentiation of flower buds.

The potted fruit mulberry was pruned in winter to cut off the weak branches, disease and insect branches, cut short the fruiting branches, and cut off the underdeveloped parts of the fruiting branches.

As a kind of fruit mulberry cultivated in bonsai, it can be pruned once in winter instead of in summer.
