In 2014, the Ministry of Agriculture organized 4 routine monitoring of agricultural product quality and safety, monitoring 94 indicators of 117 varieties of 5 major products in 151 large and medium-sized cities in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), sampling 43924 samples, with an overall qualified rate of 96.9%. Among them, the qualified rates of vegetables, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products were 96.3%, 99.2% and 93.6% respectively, and the qualified rates of fruits and tea were 96.8% and 94.8% respectively. The quality and safety level of agricultural products remained stable.

The Ministry of Agriculture requires that all localities should strengthen supervision, follow up and carry out supervision and spot check on agricultural product quality and safety, and investigate and deal with unqualified products and their production units according to law. In accordance with the spirit of the Central Rural Work Conference and the National Conference on the Control of "Table Pollution", in 2015, we will continue to focus on illegal abuse of veterinary antibiotics and illegal slaughtering of sick and dead livestock, carry out special rectification, maintain a high-pressure crackdown situation, strengthen law enforcement inspection, and severely crack down on various illegal behaviors. The Ministry of Agriculture deployed and launched the routine monitoring (risk monitoring) of national agricultural product quality and safety in 2015, strengthened the supervision of agricultural product quality and safety during the Spring Festival, and timely discovered hidden problems to ensure the safety of agricultural product consumption.
