Farmers have different views on urbanization: although the community is good, it is not convenient to cultivate land.

In recent years, in order to make farmers urbanize nearby, some "new rural communities" have been built in Henan rural areas. Most of these communities have a clean environment, convenient transportation, and complete facilities such as water, electricity, schools, recreation and other facilities. In the words of local cadres, living in the community is no different from urban life. However, many people hold different views on this "new type of rural community" and think that it is forcing farmers to "go upstairs" and is not in line with the reality of rural areas.

Why do you have different views on the same thing? The reporter went deep into the countryside to conduct an interview.

"although the community is good, it is not convenient to cultivate land."

Xiayi County is a typical agricultural county in eastern Henan. Peng Yiyi, party branch secretary of Xiangtailou Village, Luoji Township, told the reporter that since 2012, in order to realize urbanization in the countryside nearby, the township will no longer approve new homestead for farmers. Whose family wants to build a new house must buy a house in the Shuanglian central community where the township government is located.

Peng Weiyi said that the Shuanglian Center Community is a real estate project jointly developed by a local enterprise and the township government. Villagers near the community come here to buy houses, and developers and the government give certain concessions.

However, many farmers are not "cold" to this new type of rural community with convenient transportation, beautiful environment and complete facilities. Peng Shijie, a villager of Xiaopenglou Village, told reporters that the key is that he is too far away from the responsibility field of his home. "although the community is good, it is not convenient to farm, and there is no room for farm tools." Peng Shijie said.

Cui Xiulan, a villager of Xiangtailou, was another kind of worry. She calculated an account for the reporter: more than 100,000 yuan was enough for herself to build a building in the village, and to buy a house in the Shuanglian central community would cost more than 200,000 yuan. I really can't afford to rely on the income of planting a few mu of land and doing odd jobs.

"everyone knows that the environment in the community is good and the transportation is convenient, but living in the community also costs a lot of money. Water, electricity, food, which is not allowed to spend money? When I am in the village, sprinkling rapeseed in front of the house and behind the house, there is no need to spend money on green vegetables for a year. " Cui Xiulan said.

The reporter saw in the Shuanglian Center community that hundreds of buildings dominated by Huizhou architectural style have been built, but many houses are still empty. Some houses in front of the cement floor, but also drying corn and other crops. A local cadre, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Xiayi County is an agricultural county, and most farmers have a limited income and it is difficult to support a life like city dwellers.

"it is the farmers' dream to live the same life as city dwellers."

Not all farmers are not "cold" to the new rural community. During an interview in ran Zhuang Village, Caoji Township, Xiayi County, the reporter found that the new community here is very popular with farmers.

Ran Zhuang Village is located in the southeast corner of Xiayi County, only five or six miles away from the county seat. Not far from the county seat, you can see that the rows of two-story buildings are neat and beautiful, the streets and alleys are all cement roads, and the centralized garbage stacking facilities in front and back of the house are complete and look very neat.

Wang Xingbang, a village cadre, told reporters that there are more than 800 farmers in Ranzhuang village, and now more than 200 households have lived in the new rural community, and the rest are actively applying to demolish the old house and live in the new rural community.

According to Wang Xingbang, Ranzhuang Village used to be a specialized breeding village, and the overall income of the villagers is relatively high. in recent years, with the expansion of the industrial agglomeration area of the county town, land requisition and land transfer, many farmers in the village no longer farm land, and some do their own business. some work in industrial agglomeration areas. The villagers alone bought more than 100 cars in the village. "since the land is no longer cultivated and the income is guaranteed, who among the farmers does not want to live in a new type of community?" Villager ran Qingqiao said, "it is the farmers' dream to live the same life as the people in the city."

Like ran Zhuang Village, the villagers of Ganhe Chen Village, Yuanhui District, Luohe City also like the new rural community very much. "the old village used to be messy and messy, and there were often conflicts among neighbors. Now everyone doesn't farm, they don't take the dirt road, they all live in buildings, see a doctor, buy a vegetable, and they don't have to go out of the community. Life is really convenient. " Yan Xiaosong, a villager of Ganhe Chen Village, yearns for a new life in the rural community.

Rural urbanization should first slow down employment and go upstairs.

It is also a new type of rural community, why do some farmers welcome it while others do not catch a cold?

Peng Wan, who has been a village cadre for more than 30 years, said that in order to achieve real urbanization, farmers must first be transferred from the land to achieve stable employment. If the peasants still stay in the soil to dig for food, and even if they are not provided with food and clothing, they will not feel at ease even if they are barely allowed to go upstairs.

In view of the different experiences of the new rural communities in different places, Wang Yongsu, director of the Development Research Center of the Henan Provincial Government, told the reporter that what farmers oppose is neither new rural communities nor urbanization. what they are not satisfied with is that they unrealistically drive farmers "upstairs" under the circumstances of low income and unstable employment.

Wang Yongsu believes that in the future, hundreds of millions of farmers in our country will have to move to cities and towns, and if rural urbanization wants to go steadily and well, the best way is to let farmers get employment first and "go upstairs."
