China is an agricultural country, the land provides for us, and the farmers are kind and industrious. But for a long time, the countryside is the most backward place, and farmers are the poorest people. Take my hometown, for example, where there are no mineral deposits, there is no industry, and the limited land has given full play to its potential, and grain production has not increased. The old things are gone, the new things have not come again for a long time, the peasants can no longer hold on to the land, and they are leaving the land step by step.

Nine times out of ten, the old street people I am familiar with have moved to the side of the national highway, and there is no strong labor in the villages and towns. Will this old street disappear soon? Will the land disappear from now on? And can the countryside really disappear? Do I know people who are going to disappear so soon? If it can't disappear, what should we do?

Farmers gradually peel off and run away from the land, there is a sense of relief for the younger generation, but generally speaking it is helpless. Many things are clear and easy in theory, but the reality is heavy and desolate. As the saying goes, the year is better than the moon, the life is better and the life is sad. Every major social transformation is related to the fate of mankind, which gives writers something to write about, especially in rural China. It is often difficult for us to grasp at this time, and it is more confused and contradictory.

I know a lot about the countryside, farmers and land in the northwest. The land supports us all, and the farmers are kind and industrious. However, for a long time, the countryside is the most backward place, and farmers are the poorest people. China's reform and opening up first began in rural areas, and earth-shaking changes have taken place in rural areas after the implementation of the land contract responsibility system. When you go to the countryside at that time, you can feel something vigorous and lively. However, after so many years, more complex problems have emerged in rural areas, and the living condition of farmers is very difficult. I have been to many rural areas, especially to know more about my hometown. My understanding of the countryside, agriculture and farmers is absolutely different from that before. I always have a sad thing on my mind. I am worried, contradictory and helpless. I always want to write about what I feel.

Basically, the rural areas can no longer see the kind of prosperity I saw at that time. That is to say, in the small village where I lived in those days, there were very few grasses and trees. As soon as the grass grew, it was cut off, fed to cattle, pigs, and firewood. All the land that could be planted was planted with grain, which was very lively. In the past few years, there have been a lot of grass and trees, giving people a feeling of desolation, gloom and dampness. all the labourers and young people of those years have gone to work in the city, leaving the old, the weak, the sick and the disabled in the village, and the land of some families is barren, full of half-man-tall weeds and lifeless.

In the past, houses in the countryside were not like this. they were all black tiles, red bricks and white walls, warm in winter and cool in summer. However, many old houses are abandoned, either the whole family has moved to the town, or the owner has built a two-story new house of cement and steel, with white tiles on the outside, which is very ugly. The concrete houses now are not as strong as the civil houses in the past, and they will all be over in an earthquake. However, in the eyes of rural people, it seems that such a house represents advanced, ostentatious and foreign style. At present, the polarization in rural areas is very serious, with some particularly rich and some very poor. However, in the works, it is more difficult to write about the current situation, and people will say that you are gray and the tone is not high if you do not write well.

Now the customs and customs in the rural areas are disappearing, and there used to be some spiritual life in the rural areas, but now they are completely gone. When they are tired, they watch TV at home, and they do not like to visit home as they used to. Customs and people's feelings these things are all emitted a kind of vitality from future generations when people have enough to eat, and they are attached to people. Just like cooking in rural areas, if there is no fire, there will be no smoke. This change is like overeating and abandonment. Now in rural areas, there is a lack of gas, too few people, and too much desolation. Similarly, the better farmers have all left the land.

This year, the central government exempted all farmers from taxes, coupled with the rise in grain prices, and now there are more people farming, and some people who have not made money in the cities have come back to farm. This is the new change I saw when I went back to my hometown this year. Even during the Spring Festival, there are very few people. There are fewer families writing Spring Festival couplets, the village is not lively, there is no theatrical troupe, no one goes juggling, no one can see the movies, and the cultural stations, cinemas and bookstores in the town have also collapsed. They can only go to the county to watch. The only life is watching TV.

I think the gap between different regions and regions in China is very large. In the same province, the gap between Xi'an and Shangzhou is very large, and there is a gap in the changes between the following counties and towns. The gap between the northwest rural areas and the rural areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang is also very large, and there are different changes in Shanghai. From east to west, I see the great changes in China's countryside and the replication of the changes brought about by industrialization from east to west. This wave seems inevitable. Under the impact of the wave of commercialization, their original cultural traditions and folk customs have changed. The ancient and simple emotions are leaving us, and human nature has become alienated, complex and distorted. On the other side of the goodness, people's ugliness is slowly revealed. Desire has become the driving force for us to move forward, and I feel deep pain for all this. I think China's reform gas is uneven now, like a pocket, there is a gas leak in some places, and the distance between local development is very different.

When material desires flow in the city, we still have a place to hide, because we still have hometown, hometown, that is our Taoyuan, when we are injured, we can also go back to our hometown to hide and heal in the poetic countryside. And now the same reform is taking place in the home we yearn for, which is more destructive than the city. I feel like there's nothing I can do about this reality. However, this also seems to be an inevitable occurrence in the reality of China's current development. Rural areas are not being taken seriously, and it is impossible for the state to put a large amount of money into rural areas to solve the various problems faced by farmers. Urban problems are now the top priority. At present, the problems in rural areas have not been paid attention to.
