Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Since April, many flower friends have asked the succulent insects in Huahua's family how to do? Today, Huahua will teach you a few ways to deal with several common bugs. After you learn it, all the bugs will die!

Common scale insect

Succulent friends should have seen scale insects, shell insects fat, white, there seems to be small fluff on the body, looks particularly disgusting. Scale insects mainly adhere to succulent leaves and stems, and are easy to find and spread.

Treatment method:

1. For a small number of scale insects, we can kill them with toothpicks or clip them out with tweezers. Attention should be paid to cleaning the succulent leaves after treatment to prevent the venom left by scale insects from causing damage to succulent plants.

2. When scale insects pile up too much, we can use drug spraying. Spray the flower protector with water at the ratio of 1 to 200, about once a week or so. After spraying the medicine, put it in a cool and ventilated place for 4-5 days and then move to a place with bright light.

3. If there are children or pregnant women at home who do not want to use drugs, then we can put the succulent plants under flowing water, then stab them to death one by one with a magnifying glass and needle, and then clean them up.

Root pink scale beetle

The root pink scale beetle is highly contagious and generally lives in the soil, which is not easy to be found. Usually we can only find it when we change the basin and turn over the soil.

Treatment method:

1. If root powder scale insects are found when turning the basin, the original soil should be discarded immediately or the soil should be thrown outdoors for a few months before use.

2. Wash all the roots of the plant, and then simply prune them. Soak in clean water for half an hour, then put it in a ventilated place to dry for 1-2 days, dry it thoroughly and put it back on the basin. Note that the original flowerpot should be discarded or cleaned before use.

3. If you think the above methods are too troublesome, we can also use drugs. At present, the most effective drugs are scale treatment, quick culling, carbofuran and so on. It is worth noting that these drugs can only kill worms, but not eggs. So if you want to use medicine, you should use it continuously.

Aphids

It is estimated that many meat friends have also found aphids. Aphids are small, somewhat transparent, and are relatively common succulent pests.

Treatment method:

1. When the number of aphids is small, they can be caught manually. For example, adsorb it with a toothpick or remove it with tweezers.

2. If there are a large number of aphids, the whole succulent plant can be washed under water and then disinfected. At the same time, sterilize the soil, or change the soil directly.

3. Similarly, we can choose to spray with drugs. The common drugs to deal with aphids are German Bayer imidacloprid or 1500 times of dichlorvos EC.

Red spider

Red spiders will suck the juice of succulent tender stems and leaves with mouthparts, and the injured stems and leaves will show yellowish-brown stains or withered yellow shedding, and the stains will never fade.

Treatment method:

1. After finding that red spiders appear on succulent bodies, we should first strengthen ventilation and take measures of low temperature. If the number of red spiders is small, they can be killed with toothpicks or needles, and then washed for succulent plants.

2. If there are more red spiders and do not want to use drugs, we can spray laundry powder solution, the ratio of laundry powder to water is 1: 250 or spray soap liquid, the ratio of soap to water is 1: 50.

3. Similarly, we can also spray drugs on succulent succulent plants. Spraying red spiders with 1000-1500 times of triclofenac EC is very effective.
