On January 27, the central government allocated 1.42 billion yuan for winter and spring disaster relief in 2014-2015 to further help localities properly solve the difficulties faced by disaster-stricken people in their basic livelihood, such as food rations, clothing and heating, and ensure safe winter and warm festivals. At the end of 2014, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Civil Affairs agreed to allocate 7.1 billion yuan for winter and spring disaster relief in 2014-2015, and the first 5.68 billion yuan was allocated on December 29, 2014. So far, 7.1 billion yuan of central government funds for winter and spring disaster relief have been allocated from 2014 to 2015.
