Han Jun stressed that China supports scientists to seize the commanding heights of agricultural GM biotechnology, and it is clear that China cannot fall behind in the research of GM biotechnology.

Han Jun also said that China has established an international legal and regulatory system, technical regulation system and administrative management system for the safety management of agricultural genetically modified biotechnology. This system covers all aspects from research, testing, production, processing, import licensing to product identification. If it is illegal to make or plant privately without approval, as long as the administrative department finds it, it will certainly be dealt with severely in accordance with the law.

Han Jun said: first of all, we should admit that transgenic is a scientific issue, and those who do not engage in research may not have an accurate understanding of its context, but transgenic is also a very sensitive issue of concern to the whole society. it is a hot issue that people pay close attention to in their daily life, so scientific issues sometimes become social problems.
