Ministry of Commerce: the price of edible agricultural products rose last week

Last Updated: 2024/11/24, Market prices of edible agricultural products rose in 36 large and medium-sized cities across the country last week (January 26 to February 1), according to the Ministry of Commerce. Last week, the average price of 18 kinds of vegetables rose 5.7% over the previous week, including cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant and other melons and fruits.

Market prices of edible agricultural products rose in 36 large and medium-sized cities across the country last week (January 26 to February 1), according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Last week, the average price of 18 kinds of vegetables rose 5.7% from the previous week, with cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant and other melons and fruits leading the increase, rising 17.4%, 16.7% and 13.4% respectively from the previous week.

Grain prices rose slightly, with rice prices up 0.5% from the previous week and flour prices unchanged from the previous week.

The price of edible oil has fallen steadily, of which the price of soybean oil is 0.1% lower than that of the previous week, and the prices of rapeseed oil and peanut oil are the same as the previous week.

The price of aquatic products fell 0.2% from the previous week, with silver carp, crucian carp and small belt fish falling by 1.1%, 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively.

Meat prices continued to fall, with pork and beef prices falling by 0.5% and 0.2% respectively, and mutton prices unchanged from the previous week.

The prices of poultry and eggs fell as a whole, of which the price of eggs fell by 0.6% and that of white-striped chicken by 0.5%.
