Strengthening the Supervision of Feed quality and tamping the Safety Foundation of Animal products

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture issued the key points of Animal Husbandry work in 2015, which clearly requires the effective implementation of feed quality and safety, illegal addition of "clenbuterol" and supervision of fresh milk quality and safety, so as to ensure the quality and safety of animal products.

Since the implementation of the newly revised regulations on the Administration of Feed and Feed Additives, the Ministry of Agriculture has organized various localities to thoroughly implement various new systems, and the overall quality of the feed industry has been significantly improved. In 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture will attach equal importance to "production" and "management", further strengthen the management of the feed industry and consolidate the safety foundation of livestock products. In terms of "production", it is important to urge certified feed production enterprises to fully implement the "Feed quality and Safety Management Standard" and establish a quality and safety management system for the whole production process. In order to do a good job in the implementation work, the Ministry of Agriculture will issue guidance and continue to organize the establishment of "standardized" demonstrations throughout the country and set up a number of models. In terms of "management", emphasis should be placed on strengthening risk monitoring of feed quality and safety. While continuing to organize spot checks on feed quality and safety and investigate and deal with substandard products in accordance with the law, we should focus on the illegal use of new additives and potential pollutants in feed raw materials, organize and carry out hidden danger investigation and early warning monitoring, and improve the ability to take the initiative to prevent and control risks.

Since 2011, the Ministry of Agriculture and relevant departments have continued to carry out special crackdowns on "clenbuterol" throughout the country, and the illegal problem of "clenbuterol" has been effectively curbed. In 2015, the special rectification work of "clenbuterol" will continue to be carried out in depth, further strengthen supervision measures for all links of the pig, beef cattle and mutton sheep industry, further strengthen supervision and sampling inspection for key areas, key links and important seasons, and further improve the working mechanism of departmental linkage and regional linkage in view of the illegal clues of "clenbuterol". By continuing to maintain a high-pressure situation, strictly prevent the rebound of the "clenbuterol" problem, and strive to ensure that the people eat "reassuring meat."

Since 2009, the Ministry of Agriculture has carried out a special renovation and monitoring plan for the quality and safety of fresh milk for six consecutive years, vigorously cleaned up and rectified milk stations, and the quality and safety level of fresh milk has been improved year by year. In 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture will further strengthen the supervision of the production, acquisition and transportation of fresh milk. Efforts will be made to complete the online operation of the "National fresh Milk purchase Station Management system" and realize the information management of milk stations. We will continue to implement the national monitoring plan for the quality and safety of fresh milk, focus on strengthening the monitoring and sampling of milk sources of infant formula milk powder, step up the investigation of quality and safety risks, and establish and improve the quality and safety monitoring network. We will carry out in-depth special rectification of illegal substances in fresh milk, formulate quality and safety management standards for fresh milk transport vehicles, and severely crack down on illegal acquisition, transportation of raw milk and various acts of illegal addition. To promote the construction of a traceability system for the quality and safety of infant formula milk sources, milk stations, transport vehicles, and dairy farms (residential areas) involving infant formula milk sources should be filed and brought into key supervision. Follow up public opinion in time, properly deal with all kinds of emergencies, and strive to ensure that major fresh milk quality and safety incidents do not occur.
