Since Russian land prices are close to "cabbage prices", why have fewer than 20 Chinese companies grown grain across borders so far?

During the interview, the reporter found the answer to this question. In fact, some experiences can be copied, while some experiences can not be copied by every enterprise. Because, to go to Russia to farm, for ordinary enterprises, in addition to a pair of eyes to find opportunities, but also to have enough patience and endurance.

During the interview, Lu Wei, general manager of Fengtai Company, the Chinese enterprise with the largest planting scale in Russia, told the reporter that in fact, the planting industry is still a relatively risky industry, even in Russia, the mechanization and large-scale planting of European and American standards is still inseparable from the characteristics of primitive agriculture, or stay in the stage of relying on nature for a living.

"for example, in 2011, when we were about to harvest, a swarm of locusts came and swept away the crops. In a flood in 2013, our land was completely flooded, and there was nothing wrong with that. It lasted six years, either this kind of disaster or that kind of disaster. " Lu Wei said.

Therefore, to go to Russia to farm land, we must first have enough anti-risk ability.

In fact, this is still the second place. According to Lu Wei, despite the fact that the land price in Russia is cheap, there is an additional condition, that is, after you rent it, you must insist on farming every year, and you cannot waste it or change its use.

According to Ning Mingxu, general manager of Beifeng Company, to engage in agriculture in Russia, it is necessary to implement enterprise management. There is no farmer farming, there is no retail or family farm farming, and planting enterprises must appear in the form of legal persons. And in accordance with Russian standards, the production progress and cultivation mode of enterprises all belong to the national record-keeping system.

Of course, since the business model is adopted, the product standards are the most stringent EU standards: strict restrictions on the use of pesticides and fertilizers. Under such harsh conditions, domestic soybeans can generally produce two and a half to three tons of soybeans, that is, one to one and a half tons in Russia, and the output is much lower than that in China.

Lu Wei said that although the company wants to shift its focus to the planting industry in the future, it has to develop outside the Amur state, "because the governor of this state does not allow the Chinese to farm land. Because some Chinese people do not respect Russian regulations and use chemical fertilizers in planting. "

"as a private enterprise, to be honest, we also survive in a very difficult environment. Over the years, we have encountered many natural and man-made disasters, and it is not easy to survive."

However, for an enterprise with lofty ambitions, these efforts are worth it.

Today, the main products of Fengtai Company, where Lu Wei works, are non-GM, organic and pollution-free products such as soybean oil and flour. At present, Fengtai Company has set up hundreds of outlets throughout the country, and is preparing to reach 200 to 300 in the future.

"Russian flour doesn't have any additives. It doesn't look as white as ours, but it tastes good. Imported good food can improve the quality of domestic food. At the same time, for domestic grain production enterprises, it can also play a promoting role. " Lu Wei said.

In fact, the real business opportunity that Lu Wei and Ning Mingxu see is food safety. "now it is the problem of milk powder, and in the next step, it is very likely that both flour and soybean oil will be involved." Although Lu Wei's words are sharp, everyone actually has this kind of worry.

Therefore, the real meaning of "grain resale" is not only to fill the domestic shortage, but also to introduce competition into China, the most rational production mode and the strictest standards. How I hope that one day, our domestic planting enterprises can also confidently declare that the quality of our grain is also the EU standard.

The "resale of grain" forced the transformation of agriculture at the right time.
