In accordance with the Food Safety Law, the competent department will confiscate the illegal income of producers and operators and the food and tools illegally produced and operated; if the value of the food is confiscated, it shall be fined not less than 2000 yuan but not more than 50,000 yuan; if the value of the goods is more than 10,000 yuan, a fine of not less than five times and not more than ten times the value of the goods shall be imposed concurrently; if the circumstances are serious, the license shall be revoked.

According to the new regulations, the directly responsible person-in-charge of a unit whose "catering service license" has been revoked shall not engage in catering service management within five years from the date of the penalty decision.

Compared with the current stipulation that "if a food producer or operator is ordered to revoke his hygiene license for violating food hygiene laws and regulations, his legal representative or principal responsible person shall not apply for a hygiene license within 3 years", the new method is obviously more deterrent.

The new regulations also clearly stipulate that catering service providers should establish a procurement inspection and certificate system for food, food raw materials, food additives and food-related products. The retention period of records and bills shall not be less than 2 years.

The purpose of this is that when dealing with food safety problems, it can be traced back quickly, accurately and efficiently, so as to reduce damage and risk.

For catering service providers who violate the provisions on purchasing purchase certificates and tickets, the food and drug supervision and administration department will order them to correct and give them a warning; if they refuse to make corrections, they shall be fined not less than 2000 yuan but not more than 20,000 yuan; if the circumstances are serious, they shall be ordered to suspend business, even if the license is revoked.
