Zong Qinghou said: at present, a large number of agricultural products from some agricultural developed countries are exported to China, and even the CIF prices of many agricultural products are even lower than the selling prices of domestic farmers, which has a great impact on the domestic market and affects the healthy development of China's relevant agricultural products market. If this continues in the long run, it may cause China's primary industry to be controlled by others.

Zong Qinghou suggested that the relevant agricultural departments should scientifically and accurately analyze the output and domestic supply and demand of staple agricultural products of strategic significance to the national economy and people's livelihood, such as rice, wheat, corn, and soybeans, and adhere to the development principle of "giving priority to us." For agricultural commodities that can guarantee their own production and must be supplied by themselves for national security reasons, we should make full use of international trade rules to restrict imports and vigorously crack down on smuggling.

At the same time, Zong Qinghou suggested that the demand for domestic agricultural products should match the amount planted, guide farmers to plant scientifically to improve their output and quality, and steadily raise the prices of agricultural products, so that farmers can really increase their income and become rich from agricultural production, and are willing to continue to engage in agricultural work, so as to ensure the long-term and healthy development of China's agriculture.
