Last Updated: 2024/11/05, First of all, draw a circle of the soil on the edge of the basin to facilitate the separation of the whole plant. Then clean up the old soil on the roots and clean up the messy branches. After that, the drainage measures of the new basin are done, and then it is planted into the new basin, and finally the water is watered thoroughly at once.

First, how to replace the new basin

1. First of all, draw a circle with a sharp weapon on the edge of the basin, preferably deeper, which can help the earth ball break away from the basin as a whole. If the root system above the detached soil ball is very developed, it means that the nutrients in the original basin have been absorbed almost.

2. Then break the root mass gently, slowly remove the original soil, or wash it off with water to make the root appear completely, and then get rid of the rotten or old root according to the state of the root. Get rid of the messy and diseased branches in it. It can help the leaves reduce the volatilization of water, recover as soon as possible, and make the crown more beautiful. If you don't prune it, put it in a new pot. It may shed leaves, or even won't grow new branches for a long time, because its roots are damaged when it is replaced.

3. Prepare a basin with a hole in the bottom, cover the hole with a screen, or cover it with some thick pebbles to avoid being blocked by soil when watering it. This can help drain water without causing rotting roots, and can also update the air in the basin more quickly and facilitate the breathing of the roots.

4. Pour 1/3 of the soil into the basin, preferably a mixture of cultivated soil and ordinary garden soil, plus a little nitrogen fertilizer to help the leaves grow. Put the pruned plant in, preferably with a gap of two or three centimeters from the edge of the basin. Then fill the gap with organic soil, and finally pour the water thoroughly for it at once, and the whole basin will be changed.

II. Daily maintenance

1. The temperature suitable for its survival is 15 to 20 degrees. In winter, it should be placed in a warm room with a temperature of more than 12 degrees. It should be fully illuminated during its growth period. It is best to scatter light in summer and not to be exposed to the sun. It should be moderately shaded and cooled down.

2. If it grows to 10 years high, it needs to be transferred.

3. Sow seeds in autumn, prevent it from freezing in November, and give it two or three times of animal manure or cake fertilizer during the growth period.

4. If you want its flowers to grow much longer, you can pick its heart to make it grow more branches, and remove the axillary buds in time, which can reduce the loss of nutrients. After pruning it, it can grow flowers again.
