Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Impatiens need to be taken care of carefully. Lack of water, lack of light, or insect pests can make its leaves curl. If there is a shortage of water, we will replenish it in time; if there is a lack of light, we need to increase the light time, at least 4 hours a day; if there is a bug, we need to spray medicine to control it.

1. Lack of water

Generally speaking, impatiens is easier to feed, as long as it is given enough water, but not too much, everything should be just right. Impatiens in the effort to grow, to have enough water, it is best to water every day; of course, the summer temperature is high, the soil is prone to drought, but also more watering; on rainy days, you should pay attention to drainage, it has rained, and the stagnant water in the flowerpot should be poured out in time to avoid rotting off the roots of the plant because of too much water. If you want to grow impatiens healthily, you should water it properly: too little watering will make the leaves curl easily; too much watering will cause stagnant water for a long time and may cause the flower roots to rot.

2. Lack of light

All things grow by the sun, and so do impatiens. Without enough light, the leaves may curl. All plants are positive, and nail grass is exposed to sunlight for at least 4 hours a day, especially when it grows and blossoms, it needs sunlight to escort it to ensure the normal operation of photosynthesis and metabolism. Of course, when the summer sun is in the sky, it should be moved into the house, because it needs astigmatism, not direct sunlight. Light, like water, requires moderate sunlight. Lack of sunlight may cause leaves to curl, and too much sunlight may cause leaves to wilt.

3. Insect pests

Insect pests are a disaster of impatiens. Aphids or whiteflies not only eat the leaves, roots and flowers of plants, but also leave their eggs on the leaves and cause leaves to curl. If your impatiens are taken good care of and there is no lack of water or light, break open the curly leaves to see if there are eggs or larvae of pests such as aphids or whiteflies. If you find pests, you can catch them by hand or use pesticides. If you just plant an impatiens on the balcony, you can catch insects manually; if you plant a large area, you need to spray some medicine.
