Why LED Plant growth Lamp can promote Plant growth

There are two effects of light on plant growth lamp, one is indirect effect, the other is direct effect. (1) indirect action is photosynthesis. Since plants must grow in strong light for a certain period of time to synthesize enough photosynthates for growth, photosynthesis is a "high-energy response" to the need for light energy. (2) Direct action refers to the effect of light on plant morphogenesis. Because light morphogenesis can be satisfied by short time and weak light, the need of light morphogenesis is a kind of "low energy response". The direct effect of light on plant growth is mainly shown in the following aspects: the germination of ① light seeds is affected by light quality, usually red light promotes light seed germination, while far red light inhibits light seed germination. The green-turning plants of ② etiolated seedlings grow yellowish in the dark, showing yellowish stems and leaves, slender stems, small leaves without extension and so on. If the etiolated plants are illuminated, the stems and leaves can turn green gradually, which is mainly due to the formation of chlorophyll and chloroplasts under light. ③ controls the morphology of plants, the thickness and size of leaves, the height of stems, the number and length of branches, and the ratio of root to shoot are all related to light intensity and light quality. For example, UV-B can destroy the molecular structure of nucleic acid, denature a variety of proteins, oxidize IAA, hinder cell division and elongation, thus dwarfing the plant and reducing the leaf area. The effect of ④ sunshine hours on plant growth and dormancy most perennials promote growth under long-day conditions and dormancy is induced under short-day conditions. The phototropic movement of ⑤ plants is a bending growth phenomenon caused by unidirectional light exposure of plant organs. Usually, stems and leaves have positive phototropism, while roots have negative phototropism. LED has many characteristics different from other electric light sources, which makes it the first choice for energy-saving and environment-friendly light sources. LED used in the field of plant culture also shows the following characteristics: rich in wavelength types, which coincides with the spectral range of plant photosynthesis and light morphogenesis; the spectral width is narrow at half width, which can be combined to obtain pure monochromatic light and composite spectrum as needed; it can concentrate specific wavelength light to irradiate crops evenly; it can not only regulate crop flowering and fruiting, but also control plant height and plant nutrition. The system has the advantages of low heat and small space, and can be used for waterproof LED plant lamp and aquarium lamp in multi-layer cultivation three-dimensional combination system, realizing low heat load and miniaturization of production space; in addition, its strong durability also reduces the operating cost. Because of these remarkable characteristics, LED is very suitable for plant cultivation in controllable facility environment, such as plant tissue culture, facility horticulture and factory seedling cultivation, aerospace ecological life support system and so on. The law of plant growth must need sunlight, and LED plant growth lamp is a kind of lamp which uses sunlight instead of sunlight to give plant growth and development environment. Therefore, it can better promote the growth of light-loving plants at night or in the dark.
