When sending this beer blossom photo, many flower friends have to "seek experience". I really don't know if I have any unique experience. I can raise it as much as others raise me, nothing more than seedlings, pots, soil, water and fertilizer, sunshine, ventilation, diseases and insect pests and twigs. This time I was asked to "sum up experience" again. If I don't give an explanation, it is really a breach of my word.

First of all, let's introduce my flower-growing environment. My family only has a southward closed balcony. In order to grow flowers, I installed an external flower rack of about 2 meters outside the balcony. The sun is very good, and the ventilation is not as good as the balcony, but it is much better than inside the balcony. It can be caught in rain in summer and can hardly be caught in other seasons. Flower friends can be compared, according to their own environment, the method I said to treat differently.

One: Miao

I generally do not buy bare root seedlings, seedling resistance is not enough, and then bare roots, it is difficult to live.

When the seedlings are bought, I will take off the pot and look at the roots. Most of the seedlings bought have roots growing to the bottom of the basin. If the roots are not very many and the plates are not very tight, I will slowly change to a larger basin. If you buy a seedling for many years and have more roots, you may see that the roots are intertwined when you take off the pot, and you can't even pinch them. Such seedlings should be washed with water and the roots will be arranged at the same time. These are the seedlings I have just washed and opened.

If the root system that is too tight is planted directly into the soil, the inner root system can not absorb nutrients, and it will rot for a long time, even if it is not rotten, it will grow weak and spend less.

Two: Basin

The material of the basin: either mud burning basin or red pottery basin, these two pots are breathable and are not easy to rot.

Pot size: I like to use small potted flowers, because there is only one balcony external flower rack, afraid that the flower rack can not bear the weight of a large pot and soil, and the pot is large, dry and wet alternately slow, easy to rot roots. This is the red pottery basin of three specifications that I bought, the specifications are: 10 × 10, 15 × 13.5, 20 × 18.5

For the seedlings that have just been planted, I use a basin of 10 × 10, and only use half a basin of soil, and then add soil to the bottom of the basin as appropriate according to the growth of the root system. This utopia has been a seedling for a year, it still uses a basin of 10 × 10, and only uses more than half of the soil. You can add soil for a long time.

This utopia uses a 15 × 13.5 flowerpot.

This Worcester beauty bought a two-and-a-half-year seedling and bought it back with a 15 × 13.5 flowerpot, which was replaced by a 20 × 18.5 flowerpot for half a year.

This is the beginning of spring.

This is a picture of flowering.

This beer uses a mud baking basin, except for the edge of the basin, the caliber is about 20cm, and the height of the basin is 18cm.

This Lyon, about five years old, clay pot, the size is 28 × 23.5, a little big, watering a little faster, the root will be hurt, part of the leaf edge will turn black.

Three: soil

All the flowers I raise use only one kind of soil: coconut bran mixed with cinder, cinder never blisters, dry cinder smashed, coconut bran soaked, dry cinder humidified coconut bran mix well, do not care what proportion, mix until loose and easy to turn.

This is not the most ideal soil, but it is economical and affordable. It should be better to replace it with peat soil and cinder in the future.

Four: water

It's a clich é to pour tap water and dry it through.

Five: fat

The organic nutrient solution understood by mud has been used all the time, not only clematis, but also other ones. The proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is balanced. Flowers know that they can replenish the nutrients needed for flowering and apply them after dilution. Except for seedling colonization and bare root seedling planting without fertilizer, other cases can be applied with water.

Six: sunshine

I am a southward balcony, almost full-time sunshine, and direct light, flowers bloom well, in fact, I do not have any credit, all because of the good sunshine.

Seven: ventilation

Open on three sides, one against the wall, not as good as the balcony, better than inside the balcony

Eight: diseases and insect pests

The main diseases and insect pests of clematis are leaf miner, blight and white silk disease.

Leaf miner broke out in late spring and early summer. I only had three or four clematis, all of which were removed by hand. When I saw that the insects were parked on the leaves, I gently took the flowers to the balcony, closed the screen window, and pinched the flies with their hands. Even if they were not pinched, the insects would fall on the screen window and fall on the screen window, making it easier to pinch to death.

Blight disease, planting small iron slightly exposed roots, do not let the branches touch the ground, can effectively prevent the blight.

White silk disease is the most lethal disease. If found in time, immediately pull out the seedlings, root washing, disinfection, soil thrown away, the basin should also be high-temperature disinfection, but also save life, found late, the roots are rotten, there is nothing to return to heaven.

Nine: dish branches and pruning

In winter, I have to trim the clematis, cut as hard as I can, and simply cut what I can't, take off the bracket and disk the branches to the surface of the flowerpot, because I am a balcony. I really can't stand a few brackets outside the balcony window in winter, and a few bare branches on the bracket.

This clematis tree twisted its branches in winter, but in the spring I was lazy and did not retie the branches to the bracket and grew like this. At first, it grew well, but then the leaves grew much longer and there was no air inside, and many branches suffered from standing blight, which caused a large number of buds to be cut off. This leaves about half of the buds, so there are so many flowers. I won't be lazy next time.
