Sichuan plans to issue regulations to prohibit cruelty to animals
A few days ago, the "Sichuan Provincial regulations on Urban and Rural appearance and Environmental Sanitation," jointly drawn up by the Legislative Affairs Office of the Provincial Government and the Provincial Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department, made provisions on "raising animals" and "environmental hygiene." among them, "no one shall be cruelly to animals" is written into the "regulations." According to the person in charge of the provincial housing and construction department, this is to advocate human beings to take care of animals.
The regulations stipulate that keeping pets shall not affect public environmental hygiene, and the droppings produced by pets in public places shall be removed in a timely manner. No individual shall commit any act of cruelty to animals, and shall not hurt the innocent in the hunting and killing of mad cattle or dogs that enter cities, towns or villages. If he violates the regulations, he shall be ordered to make corrections and be fined not less than 100 yuan but not more than 200 yuan for each dog he keeps.
