Supporting regulations of the Food Safety Law are being formulated.

Jiang Zengwei, vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said at the second China Food Safety High-level Forum that the Ministry of Commerce will start a pilot project to build a food safety and integrity system this year to form a recoverable mechanism. it will take about three years to take the lead in building a traceable, verifiable and accountable meat and vegetable circulation mechanism in 36 major cities and some conditional cities across the country. Wang Lu, deputy director of the credit information center of the people's Bank of China, said it is necessary to give full play to the restraining effect of the bank credit information system on food enterprises. The credit information system enables banks to have a more comprehensive understanding of the credit information of their credit recipients, and plays a very positive role in assisting regulators to play a greater regulatory role.
