Spring is a very suitable season for cutting, but the temperature in some places is still relatively high, so if you want to cultivate cuttings indoors, what do you need to pay attention to? How can it be easy to succeed?

First, prepare materials

1. Container selection

First of all, it is a well-drained flowerpot with enough drainage holes to prepare gravel and pebbles at the bottom, and pot soil should also choose loose ones.

Some people like to use translucent easy, think that you can see the root growth of plants, but in order to drain water and breathable, earthen basin is still good.

2. Soil medium

If it is just to let the plant root, you can first prepare perlite or river sand, plant cuttings are inserted to keep warm and moist, plus bagging, the success rate is a little faster than soil culture.

3. Rooting powder

Whether to decide to use rooting agent depends on what kind of plant you are cutting. If it is roses, tomatoes, vanilla plants and so on, it is not necessary.

After all, it is a chemical substance, which can not be used too much. If you use too much, it will definitely affect the hair root. (however, willow branches and leaves can be soaked in hot water or honey instead)

II. Plant cutting process

1. Soil preparation

The soil can be mixed with some river sand or perlite to increase drainage and air permeability, followed by spraying the soil, moist but not drenched, which is not suitable if it is too wet.

2. Plant cuttings treatment.

The scissors used to cut cuttings must be sterilized and sharp, oblique along the plant stem. I use the fairy finger here as a demonstration.

Oblique shearing can increase the contact area between cuttings and soil, and its rooting area will be larger and easier to take root.

If it is other cuttings to remove the lower leaves, leave 4 leaves at the top, but also remove excess buds, cuttings do not leave flowers.

You can touch the rooting powder (just a little bit on the bottom). If you decide to use it, just touch it, or you can mix it with water and soak in the solution for a few minutes.

3. Cuttage treatment

Dig a small hole with your fingers and bury the stem of the plant in the soil. The buried part is about 1 beat 4, and the soil is pressed slightly.

If the temperature there is still very low, the temperature is lower than 17 degrees, cutting propagation is not so easy, then we can bag it, the cuttings of the fairy finger are not high, so I directly cover it with plastic wrap.

If it is other higher cuttings, then it is necessary to use that kind of standing plastic bag to avoid contact with the cuttings, you can do some support.

4. Placement position

Put the potted plant in a warm, ventilated place with scattered light and open the film for 3 hours at noon every day. (you can also poke a few more holes in the cling film)

Spray water frequently, keep the basin soil moist and not moist, do not accumulate water, spray plants with foggy water every day, for 1-2 weeks, you can see that they begin to take root.
