The reporter learned from the State Forestry Administration that the plan for the complete cessation of commercial logging of natural forests has been finalized, and the complete cessation of commercial logging of natural forests across the country will be achieved in 2017.
Zhao Shucong, director of the State Forestry Administration, said that a complete halt to commercial logging of natural forests will be implemented in three steps: commercial logging in key state-owned forest areas such as Inner Mongolia and Jilin in 2015, commercial logging of natural forests in state-owned forest farms in non-natural forest protection areas in 2016, and nationwide commercial logging of natural forests in 2017.
