For a place, it is a blessing to have good agricultural advantage resources; if the support policies are right and measures are appropriate, the advantage resources will naturally be transformed into industries for enriching the people, so that farmers can benefit from it.

An agricultural product is a business card, and an industry is synonymous with a place. In many parts of our country, because of having one or two competitive landmark industries, the local fame has greatly increased, and it has become the leader of a certain agricultural product and the weather vane that determines the development of the industry. For example, Hebei Xingtang jujube, Lanzhou lily, Dangshan pear, Yantai apple, Gannan navel orange and so on, to name a few.

To develop industries with local characteristics and ensure their everlasting prosperity, if the relevant local departments only blindly "govern" and ignore the wishes of farmers and the current situation of development, it will only lead to the end of "weak foundation and shaking the earth". It is necessary to listen more to the opinions and aspirations of farmers, so as to formulate supportive policies and development plans that are truly in line with "public opinion." Especially when the industry is facing the bottleneck of development, it is all the more necessary to listen to the voices of farmers and absorb the wisdom of "public opinion" in formulating support policies.

Take the late-maturing citrus industry in Chongqing as an example, the local government fully respects the planting habits of farmers while considering natural and production conditions as a whole. In terms of popularizing planting technology, farmers should not be "crammed"; in the introduction of new varieties, farmers should not be ordered and forced; and in the formulation of preferential policies for support, farmers should not be given an across-the-board approach.

Farmers are not "good at" in the use of new technology, the cultivation of new varieties, the study of industrial situation, and so on. But for farmers who have been engaged in agricultural production for a long time, they are the most experienced and familiar with the local landscapes, and they have the most say in terms of industrial "approachability".

Listening to the opinions of farmers is actually protecting the fundamental interests of farmers. As farmers are in a weak position in the whole industrial chain, especially with enterprises and other business entities, it is particularly important to establish a healthy and fair interest connection mechanism that can achieve win-win results.

For enterprises, another "protagonist" in industrial management, we should not only focus on one or two large leading enterprises, but also strengthen local support for small and medium-sized enterprises that are more directly and comprehensively linked to the interests of farmers. After all, "leading enterprises + farmers" has become the main form of agricultural industrialization in China, which plays a main role in solving the sales of agricultural products and increasing farmers' income.

Many small and medium-sized enterprises are built on the local planting front line, close to farmers, making it easy for farmers to sell agricultural products. Because of the existence of these small and medium-sized enterprises, a large number of scattered farmers can be quickly organized to participate in market competition, which is very suitable for the small and scattered scale of agricultural household management in our country at the present stage.

Farmers are very welcome to such enterprises. In Fuling district of Chongqing, 80% of the mustard planted by farmers is acquired and processed by small and medium-sized enterprises. When local governments attract investment and build factories, they should fully listen to the opinions of farmers and consider the "needs" of farmers. on the premise of being in line with scientific planning, where the enterprise's raw material production base is built, where the factory workshop is located, and so on, we must first ask farmers' opinions, so as to ensure that these projects are built on the hearts of farmers.
