The first batch of state-owned forest farm off-site afforestation demonstration pilot confirmed
Considering the mode, scale, effect and impact of off-site afforestation, the State Forestry Bureau recently identified the first batch of 20 off-site afforestation demonstration and 8 off-site afforestation pilot forest farms. The purpose of this move is to establish models, explore experience, further promote off-site afforestation of state-owned forest farms, promote innovative management models of state-owned forest farms in the process of comprehensively deepening reform, and give full play to the role of the main force of ecological construction.

The 8 off-site afforestation pilot forest farms are: Sheyang County Forest Farm in Jiangsu Province, Dafeng Forest Farm in Jiangsu Province, Liguoshe Cooperative Forest Farm in Changning County, Yunnan Province, Yangxie Forest Farm in Shangzhou District, Shaanxi Province, Night Village Forest Farm in Shangzhou District, Shaanxi Province, Nanhua Forest Farm in Gansu Province, Altay Garden Farm in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, and Sandaohezi Forest Farm in Shawan County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region.
It is reported that in recent years, while seizing opportunities and determined to reform, the vast number of state-owned forest farms have given full play to their own advantages, went out and cooperated with local governments, villages and collectives to carry out afforestation and forest management, and actively developed off-site afforestation.
