The Ministry of Health requires local NCMS management agencies to timely pay for drugs and diagnosis and treatment projects that meet the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of hand, foot and mouth Disease (2010 edition) according to the local NCMS reimbursement drug catalogue and diagnosis and treatment project catalogue. All localities should focus on strengthening the security work for the treatment of critically ill patients, and during the period of concentrated outbreak of hand, foot and mouth disease, as a temporary emergency measure, intravenous human immunoglobulin and other drugs needed for the treatment of severe cases in designated medical institutions of NCMS can be included in the scope of reimbursement of NCMS to ensure that critically ill patients are treated in a timely manner. In order to ensure the treatment effect, medical institutions at all levels are recommended to use intravenous human immunoglobulin with EV71 antibody titer greater than 1: 256 to carry out treatment work.
