Last Updated: 2024/11/09, Once the rotten root occurs, it will wilt the leaves and flowers of the four seasons begonia, affecting the ornamental. If we want to deal with this problem, we need to take corresponding measures according to the situation of our own plants: if the flower soil is not suitable for causing its rotten roots, then replace the breathable flower soil; if too much fertilizer causes its rotten roots, then neutralize the fertilizer; if there is stagnant water in the flower soil that leads to its rotten roots, then clear out the water. If the situation is more serious, we need to cut off the rotten roots and rebreed them.

1. Breathable

We should be fully aware of the environment it needs, especially the flower soil, because it will affect the root growth, if the flower soil is not suitable to cause its rotten roots, then the flower soil should be changed in time.

Generally speaking, we need to give it breathable flower soil, so if the flower soil is not very breathable, we can replace it with nutritious soil or rotten leaf soil. In addition, if you live near the river, you can use some sand soil, or we can mix the three, so that its roots will grow better. Of course, we should also pay attention to often loosen the soil, so that there will be no problems with its roots.

2. Fertilizer

If you use too much fertilizer, it will also affect it, because there will be more nutrients left, which will cause its roots to burn and its leaves to wither. So the idea that the more fertilizer you give it, the better.

If its roots rot for this reason, we have to change the soil or take measures to dilute it.

3. Stagnant water

Too much water is also a big factor affecting root growth, especially this kind of plant does not love water so much, so we need to control the amount, and in the process of watering, we should also pay attention to not pouring water directly into dry soil. In addition, we also need to note that the amount of water actually has a lot to do with the temperature. Generally speaking, when the temperature is relatively high, we can give more water, and we can also take additional measures to spray some on the leaves. When the temperature is relatively low, we can not give it too much water, otherwise the root will definitely be broken.

If this is the reason, we have to find a way to get rid of the water, and if there is no way to get rid of it, we will change the basin.

4. Re-cultivation

If we can save it directly, we will directly save it. If not, we must get rid of the rotten roots. Of course, we should control our strength in the process of cutting, and we must not cause new injuries because of our own mistakes. Then we can soak it with potassium permanganate and wash it with pure water, then put it in a windy place, and finally we have to transplant it into a new basin.

Assuming that its roots are highly damaged, we need to cut off its fairly intact roots and let it be reborn in rooting water.
